Great
Horned Owl
This Great
Horned Owl
came to
Wings of
Hope
Wildlife
Sanctuary as
a nestling.
She had been
raised by
parents for
quite some
time after
having
fallen out
of the nest.
In the fall
however, she
broke her
leg and we
were unable
to repair
the damage.
She now
helps us
with Great
Horned Owl
babies
during our
very busy
"baby
season"

Barn Owl
Barney was
found in the
median of
the
interstate
in New
Orleans.
His wing was
broken when
he was
apparently
hit by car. The
wing was not
able to be
repaired.

American
Kestrel
Geronimo, an
American
Kestrel took
his first
flight into
power lines
and broke
his wing.
The wing did
not heal
correctly,
so he is
incapable of
sustaining
flight.
Unfortunately
Geronimo has
left us, but
we will
never forget
this
wonderful
educational
ambassador

Harris Hawk
Harriett
is a retired
falconry
bird.
She has a
breathing
problem that
limits her
exercise
tolerance.
